The Clever Rabbit and the Lion

Deep in a green forest lives a lion who roars every day, and the animals are afraid. They meet under a tall tree and make a plan: each day, one animal will visit the lion, so that he will not chase them all. When it is a small rabbit’s turn, her heart goes thump-thump. But instead of running away, she takes a slow, deep breath and thinks. She prepares in her own way, arrives late, and tells the hungry lion a surprising story about another lion who claims the forest. She leads him to an old stone well and notices clues with careful eyes, always staying far from the edge. This gentle Panchatantra tale invites young children to stay calm, think carefully and care for their community, and it lets them make two small choices along the way.
